Maca Miño’s photographic practice combines art direction, storytelling, identity, and vibrant color to create powerful visual narratives. Through carefully constructed compositions, costumes, and objects, her images evoke the intensity of painting, transforming each photograph into a layered visual universe rich in cultural meaning.
Shaped by her years in Barcelona and her Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Design and Creativity at Elisava, her interdisciplinary approach brings together photography, visual arts, and scenography. Rooted in the multicultural peripheries of Santiago, Chile, her work explores Latin American identity, cultural memory, and the encounters that shape everyday life.
Her connections with migrant artistic communities, African dance cultures, and her artistic exchanges in Japan continue to expand her visual language. Through color, composition, and cultural symbolism, Maca Miño creates images that honor diverse identities and invite audiences into her world through an expressive explosion of color and stories.
