Maca Miño (Santiago, Chile, 1990) is a photographer, graphic designer, and multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores Latin American identity through color, territory, and cultural relationships manifested in landscapes, open-air markets, and migrant communities. She grew up in the multicultural neighborhoods of Independencia and Quilicura, in Santiago, environments that have profoundly shaped her perspective and continue to inform her artistic research.
She holds a degree in Graphic Design from the Universidad de Chile and has also studied Industrial Design. In 2019, she was awarded the Fahrenheit Scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in Audiovisual Design and Creativity at ELISAVA Facultat de Disseny i Enginyeria de Barcelona. She lived in Barcelona for over five years, until late 2024, a period during which she developed an interdisciplinary practice spanning photography, art direction, visual arts, and dance. Alongside her visual practice, she has deepened her engagement with Afrosmodernos, a contemporary Afro-urban dance practice, exploring movement as a means of cultural inquiry and artistic expression.
With over 12 years of professional experience in branding and graphic design, Maca Miño has developed projects for clients and organizations across Chile and internationally, including Spain, Mexico, France, Canada, Switzerland, Italy, Ireland, Argentina, Peru, and Japan.
