PACÍFICO
COLOMBIANO
HOLY ART TOKIO
DESIGN FESTA GALLERY

Pacífico Colombiano is a photographic series exploring the Afro-Colombian heritage of Colombia’s Pacific coast, a territory shaped by displacement, resistance, and cultural resilience. Through vibrant imagery, the work examines the relationship between territory, memory, and identity, engaging with the region’s cultural expressions and forms of representation. The figure of a man wearing a pollera (traditional skirt) challenges historical constructions of gender and masculinity, using the body and clothing as spaces of representation and transformation. In 2025, the series was exhibited at The Holy Art Tokyo, at Design Festa Gallery in Harajuku, a vibrant meeting point for multidisciplinary artists from Japan and around the world. The work brings cultural memory, Afro-Colombian identity, and corporeality into dialogue through a contemporary visual perspective.

UTAJA,IT IS
WHERE I AM
FUKUOKA PREFECTURAL MUSEUM OF ART- TORAM

Utaja derives from the Aymara word for “my home”: home is where I am; home is who I am. The project follows a young man who leaves his ancestral Aymara territory in Arica, northern Chile, carrying his cultural roots as he navigates urban landscapes and new territories. Through the interplay of contemporary environments, ritual symbols, and Aymara cosmology, the work explores migration, freedom, and belonging, reflecting on how cultural identity transforms while remaining rooted in memory and heritage.
In 2026, Utaja was exhibited at the 17th TORAM Dynamic Contemporary Artists Exhibition in Fukuoka, Japan, where it received the Certificate of Commendation – International Art Prize.

PERI-FERIAS
AVAILABLE FOR EXHIBITION 2026 -2027

PERI-FERIAS is a photographic and multidisciplinary project exploring Chilean ferias libres (open-air street markets) as living cultural heritage and spaces of collective identity. Developed in Quilicura, on the outskirts of Santiago, it highlights the cultural diversity of a territory shaped by the convergence of Chilean, Haitian, Venezuelan, and Peruvian communities, alongside Indigenous peoples.
Through photography, art direction, styling, and textile design, the project reinterprets the markets’ visual codes, colors, objects, and everyday dynamics. Four sculptural costumes made from materials associated with the markets transform ordinary elements into new forms of visual representation. Combining constructed photographic scenes with documentary portraits of market vendors, PERI-FERIAS celebrates popular culture, community, and the living heritage that shapes the identity of the urban periphery.
